We are happy to announce that, as of last Friday, 1 June, we are the official sponsor of the Basque Culinary Center. Thanks to this agreement, from now on, and for the next 5 years, Sammic will supply the culinary school with latest generation machinery for vacuum packing and cooking. Similarly, we will be responsible for training the centre's students and teachers in sous-vide techniques, and low temperature and vacuum cooking. Thus, thanks to this agreement we are reasserted as experts and undisputed leaders in the manufacture of food preservation and sous-vide machinery.
In an event held at the Basque Culinary Center, the director of the Basque Culinary Center Foundation, Joxe Mari Aizega, and the sales director of Sammic, Xabier Goenaga, have signed this alliance that will last five years. Both parties were very pleased to sign this agreement and view this alliance as a step forward for both institutions.
The Basque Culinary Center is a pioneering academic institute at world level that integrates the school of Gastronomic Sciences and a Research and Innovation Centre. Since its creation in September 2011, the Basque Culinary Center has been working to be the international benchmark in higher education, research, innovation and promotion of gastronomy and food and also to boost gastronomy as leverage for socioeconomic development.
